Being a Sexually Abused Victim
Following a sexual abuse, the woman is bruised in her flesh and in her unconscious. There will always be a "before" and an "after" to the abuse.
The woman can sometimes take a long time to realize that she has been abused. Indeed, the unconscious is timeless. For the victim, time seems to have stopped.
THE PHYSICAL CONSEQUENCES
Several symptoms can be observed such as
Body image may be affected with disgust or hatred for one's body.
THE PSYCHOLOGICAL AND EMOTIONAL CONSEQUENCES
Sartre said that shame is "the hemorrhage of the soul".
A sexual abuse marks the person with a red-hot iron, soils him or her, and pushes him or her to want to hide from others.
Shame is a mixture of fear of rejection and anger towards the abuser, who does not dare to express himself.
When feeling shame, the abused person has two options: either to despise him or herself or the abuser and all those who are like him or her.
In either case, the person is self-destructive, as both feelings of self-hatred and hatred of the other are destructive.
Self-hatred can be about one's body, sexuality, need for love, confidence.
When self-contempt is very intense, it can lead to bulimia, self-harm and suicide.
In these three cases, the person punishes his or her own body because it exists and has desires.
THE WORK IN SEX THERAPY
This self-contempt has four functions:
To deal psychologically with sexual abuse, the person will most often have to feel anger.
Experiencing this feeling is liberating and will help the person to move beyond the shame.
Shame is related to the way the victim sees herself. She sees herself as tainted. It is the victim's view of herself that will have to change. She will heal herself by changing her way of thinking.
EMDR (eye movement therapy) is used to free oneself from the shame and to allow one to not remain frozen.

Hypnosis, EMDR and sex therapy provide personalised support in achieving a goal, unblocking a situation or simply bringing about a desired change. They enable people to optimise their ability to resolve certain problems, which may lead to the disappearance of symptoms.
Only a doctor can make a diagnosis. I am neither a doctor nor a psychiatrist. I do not diagnose, treat or cure.
Hypnotherapy, EMDR and sex therapy are part of the helping relationship, outside the medical and regulated framework. They are therefore no substitute for any medical procedure or treatment, of which they may be complementary.
These activities cannot replace medical advice or replace traditional medicine. I reserve the right, if necessary and with your agreement, to refer you to a doctor, urologist or gynaecologist.
