Emdr
EMDR = Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR uses sensory stimulation of both sides of the body, either through eye movement, auditory or skin stimuli, to induce a rapid resolution of symptoms related to past events.
It is intended for people suffering from emotional disturbances generally linked to psychological trauma.
With the tools of EMDR and Ericksonian Hypnosis you can work on
Traumas
Trauma can be caused by :
But they can also come from difficult life events.
Thus, they can go unnoticed and be the source of inappropriate emotions or behaviors in daily life. For example :
These emotional disturbances can then be expressed in various forms such as :
When the brain is "overwhelmed" by the traumatic shock, it cannot process the information and classify it. The subject then seems to remain blocked and psychological disturbances can appear.
EMDR therapy uses eye movements, auditory or kinesthetic stimuli to unblock these natural information processing mechanisms. Thus, the emotions associated with the trauma can be deactivated, even after many years.
BurnOut
Depression
Following a trauma (bereavement, accident, illness, separation...) the person may be weakened and may show a state of despondency that can lead to a risk of depression. However, evoking a trauma is often not enough to move towards a better well-being.
EMDR can allow you to treat a trauma by desensitizing memories and ideas. Thus, by stimulating eye movements, both hemispheres of the brain will be solicited as if to "digest" the past, the behaviors and the negative ideas that the person wants to get rid of.
The eye movements guided by the practitioner during one or more EMDR sessions promote the formation of new connections in the brain and can lead you to a better well-being.
New calming information is transmitted to the areas of the brain involved in fear. The images, sounds and sensations related to the trauma are then transferred to rational thought and stored in the past.
Stress
Stress can be defined as a state of chronic tension. It can be both physical and psychological. It is often a matter of the body responding to pressure from the environment. Stress is experienced differently by different people. Indeed, a situation that might seem harmless to one person can cause stress, anxiety or anguish in another.
Stress can have several causes, including
a biological cause: lack of physical exercise, an unbalanced diet, biological changes (puberty, menopause ...)
a socio-cultural cause: such as a change in social situation, pressure to conform to society's rules, a lack of support from loved ones or pressure at work.
Learn to manage your stress with
EMDR and Hypnosis
Stress management is one of the most frequent reasons for consultation. Thanks to these tools, you can discover solutions to help you better manage your stress thanks to hypnotic suggestions, letting go and thus find a greater inner calm.
Anxiety
Symptoms of anxiety can manifest themselves as a feeling of "ball" or weight in the stomach or throat. Anxiety often refers to an emotion, sensations or perceptions of discomfort, fear, worry, insecurity, fear. It can be the result of similar experiences in the past, a feeling of lack of control in a situation, an inability to cope with something that we do not know the outcome.
Anxiety can occur at any time. It can be a one-time event or last a few minutes and disappear, or on the contrary, it can spread out over time. Anxiety, or even panic attacks, is very unpleasant to live with on a daily basis.
Through eye movements and hypnotic suggestions, you will be able to modify your unconscious reactions and mobilize your resources to change certain habits and behaviors. You will be able to redirect your negative and limiting feelings for positive and motivating feelings and suppress your anxiety attacks.
OCD Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Obsessive disorder is a severe anxiety disorder.
The person suffers from fixed ideas, which become invasive and distressing. To try to reduce the anxiety, the person sets up rituals in a repetitive and obsessive way.
It is necessary to have obsessive-compulsive disorder diagnosed by a health professional.
EMDR and Hypnosis are tools that can be used as a complement to the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder.
Indeed, hypnotic suggestions at the unconscious level will allow the person to reduce his or her anxiety. They can then change their beliefs, fears and behaviors.
